We are a small rescue/sanctuary that will rescue Wild Mustangs in need. Being a small sanctuary will allow us the ability to work with these magnificent animals in regaining their spirit. We will not turn away a horse in need if the alternative is slaughter pens, abuse/neglect or a surrender. Again being a small rescue/sanctuary availability of space will determine our ability to effectively give them the attention they need.

We are a sanctuary which means horses that come here usually will live out their lives here. If we need to place a horse outside of MLES it will be for the good of the horse to continue their road to recovery. Each of these situations will be determined on a case by case basis.

The safety of MLES and our horse residents is our primary concern. With that being said all volunteers and staff have undergone a criminal background check. MLES will only accept scheduled visits and any unannounced visits will not be accepted. This is to ensure the protection and safety of all at MLES.
